Fleets and Fuel Use

UBC's fleet includes 11 electric vehicles.
UBC has a large vehicle fleet of over 300 vehicles. Two-thirds of the UBC vehicle fleet is managed by Fleet Management, a department of Land and Building Services. The remainder of campus-owned vehicles are managed and operated by university departments or faculties.
The Fleets and Fuel Use Climate Action Working Group is developing a plan to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions resulting from UBC’s vehicle fleets. Members of the working group include staff members from Fleet Management, Forestry, Earth and Ocean Sciences, UBC Security, and a faculty member from Mechanical Engineering. The Fleets Working Group held their second meeting on Monday, April 20. They came together to discuss and set objectives for the Fleets component of the Climate Action Plan and to refine the long list of potential actions that were developed in their first meeting.
