UBC Student boarding B Line

Students, staff and faculty commuting to and from the UBC campus produce a significant amount of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions each year. In 2006, daily commuting to and from campus produced approximately 23,600 tonnes of CO2-e.

Many UBC community members are taking steps to reduce GHG emissions by carpooling, cycling and taking public transit. The Transportation Climate Action Working Group is developing programs to reduce GHG emissions and improve sustainable transportation choices. Working group members include representatives from UBC parking, the TREK transportation program, and a faculty member from the School of Community and Regional Planning. Check out other emissions sources here.
